Aaron Taylor-Johnson Confirms Craven Will Be ‘The Hunter We All Want’ (Exclusive)

Aaron Taylor-Johnson will star in the upcoming Sony Pictures Championship Craven the fisherman Movie. He caused a stir among Marvel Comics fans by calling the character a former “animal lover”. Some fans have wondered how that counts with a character who, in the comics, is a maniacal hunter and ultimately hunts the most challenging game he can imagine, Spider-Man. ComicBook.com had the opportunity to chat with Taylor Johnson during the press tour of his latest movie, Express train. Chris Killian brought up the question on every fan’s mind: Will Craven still have the “big lion’s mane” in the movie?

Taylor Johnson has not confirmed any details about the film. He took the opportunity to clarify who his version of Kraven the Hunter is in the movie.

“I can’t confirm any details or anything,” Taylor Johnson says. “And also, I think maybe taking a little context out and then playing it. I mean, I think you know what I really meant, what was really said was that he was a protector of the natural world that you said he is a conservationist, which is probably more accurate, and then he was He should stop there, full stop, you shouldn’t go any further, yeah, I think you know you should really understand, yeah, he’s a fisherman and from this hunting world and there’s a lot of aspects. What I love about this character is that what Makes him human is that he has flaws, right? Kraven is a beautiful character. Sergei Kravinov is a beautiful character because he is someone who really understands himself and has flaws. This is the character that was created ages ago and is in a new age and age, but yes, he will be the hunter we all want See it? Yes, sure. Sure.”

Kraven the Hunter was created by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee. First appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Number 15 in 1964, 58 years ago. The Leo Man was present at his debut, defining the character visually. His credentials as the world’s best big game hunter often led him to overestimate his abilities in his fights against Spider-Man, leading to his defeat. The 1987 story “Kraven’s Last Hunt” by JM DeMatteis and Mike Zeck redefined the character, adding new layers of depth. Filmmakers seem to feel it needs a bit more modernization for the 21st century.

JC Chandor is directed by Sony Craven the fisherman Movie. The movie opens in theaters on January 13th.
